On Friday, 21 March 2014, in the evening at 19:13, in Vilniaus district municipality, Pagirių village, on Kalno street, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 41-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest) and was walking on the carriageway where prohibited. He was drunk (3.07‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
