On Wednesday, 9 April 2014, in the evening at 17:37, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Ukmergė–Raguva–Nemėžis national road (kilometre 43.33), a Honda FES 250 ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 31-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized, was not wearing a helmet) and a 29-year-old passenger of the Honda (hospitalized, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
