On Saturday, 12 April 2014, at night at 2:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Gražučiai–Rutkiškės regional road (kilometre 1.86), a BMW 525 TDS hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
