On Friday, 18 April 2014, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 95.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT 95.430 and a Peugeot 207. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the DAF (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
