On Saturday, 19 April 2014, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Palaukuvio village, on the Telšiai–Žarėnai–Tverai–Laukuva regional road (kilometre 44.42), an Audi 100 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.73‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
