On Monday, 21 April 2014, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 67), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Ford Mondeo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
