On Thursday, 17 April 2014, at night at 4:20, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 122.39), a Renault Clio registered in France ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Renault (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
