On Monday, 28 April 2014, in the morning at 7:46, in Plungės district municipality, on the Telšiai–Alsėdžiai–Barstyčiai–Skuodas regional road (kilometre 21.75), a Renault Megane Coupe rolled over. Two people were injured — a 12-year-old passenger of the Renault (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 7-year-old passenger of the Renault (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Renault, who fell asleep at the wheel. She had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
