On Sunday, 11 May 2014, in the morning at 5:10, in Druskininkų municipality, on Mizarų street, at the junction with Sodų street, a Peugeot 406 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
