On Saturday, 17 May 2014, in the morning at 10:50, in Pasvalio district municipality, Kalno village, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 29.65), a BMW 530 rolled over. Four people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 17-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient), a 17-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 28-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
