On Saturday, 17 May 2014, in the morning at around 5:00, in Druskininkų municipality, on Veisiejų g. near No. 26, an Audi A6 Avant hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
