On Saturday, 24 May 2014, in the evening at 19:10, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 43.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Honda CR-V. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
