On Wednesday, 28 May 2014, in the evening at 18:14, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 32), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed.
