On Sunday, 1 June 2014, in the afternoon at 14:45, in Lazdijų district municipality, Šadžiūnų village, on the Leipalingis–Lazdijai–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 6.65), a DAF FT 95XF.480 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the DAF (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
