On Monday, 2 June 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Anykščių district municipality, Leliūnų village, on Kalno street, a MTZ Belarus-892 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the MTZ (39 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.18‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
