On Saturday, 7 June 2014, in the evening at 17:55, in Lazdijų district municipality, Seirijų town, on Metelių street near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Jetta and a Pontiac Trans Sport. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
