On Tuesday, 1 July 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Panevėžys, on Pušaloto street near No. 188, a BMW 530 D hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. A 31-year-old pedestrian was drunk (1.04‰). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
