On Friday, 18 July 2014, in the evening at 22:08, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Pageležiai–Rizgonys regional road (kilometre 4.20), a Ford Fiesta rolled over. Three people were injured — a 15-year-old passenger (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 22-year-old passenger (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 19-year-old passenger (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.40‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
