On Monday, 21 July 2014, in the evening at 21:36, in Šakių district municipality, Lepšių village, on the Lukšiai–Griškabūdis regional road (kilometre 4.81), a Citroen Xantia rolled over. One person was injured — the 19-year-old driver of the Citroen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.04‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
