On Friday, 25 July 2014, in the evening at 18:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 95.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT 95 430 W registered in Kyrgyzstan, a General Trailers registered in Kyrgyzstan, a Blomert T2BP, a Koegel YWE18 registered in Moldova, a Mercedes-Benz A 160 CDI, a Ford Maverick and a BTG. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Kyrgyzstan) (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
