On Thursday, 31 July 2014, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 45.20), a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved an Alfa Romeo 146, a Mistrall S392P1, a Renault Premium 420 and a Seat Cordoba. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He was drunk (2.38‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
