On Thursday, 31 July 2014, in the evening at 18:11, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 12), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Hyundai (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
