On Friday, 1 August 2014, in the evening at 22:28, in Vilnius, on Žirnių street near No. 12, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Dacia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (25 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
