On Saturday, 2 August 2014, at night at around 23:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 60.50), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and an Audi 100. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene.
