On Sunday, 3 August 2014, at night at 23:22, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Minskas main road (kilometre 29), a MAN-VW rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the MAN-VW (a citizen of Kazakhstan) (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and fell asleep at the wheel. He was drunk (2.62‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
