On Saturday, 2 August 2014, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Zarasų district municipality, on the Zarasai–Mukuliai–Vencavai–Antalieptė regional road (kilometre 18.91), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
