On Saturday, 9 August 2014, at night at 4:36, in Vilnius, on Ukmergės street, at the junction with Perkūnkiemio street, a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 38-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 38-year-old pedestrian, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. He was drunk (3.26‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
