On Sunday, 17 August 2014, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kretingos district municipality, Kartenos town, on Kretingos street near No. 17, an Audi 100 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
