DAF FT truck rolls over on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga road
On Tuesday, 19 August 2014, at night at 2:21, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 20.62), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
