On Sunday, 31 August 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Prapymo village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 246.70), a Scania R 114 LA ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Scania (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.10‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
