On Tuesday, 9 September 2014, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Rietavo municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 77.05), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Land Cruiser (150 SERIES) and an Opel Tigra. No one was hurt in the accident.
