On Thursday, 11 September 2014, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr., at the junction with Žiemgalių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Citroen C5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
