On Friday, 19 September 2014, in the evening at 22:03, in Vilnius, on Užusienio street near No. 6C, a ZIL 130 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 25-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the ZIL (17 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (1.87‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
