On Monday, 22 September 2014, in the morning at 6:20, in Kazlų Rūdos municipality, on the Kazlų Rūda–Bagotoji regional road (kilometre 1.90), a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.50‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
