On Sunday, 21 September 2014, in the evening at 17:47, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 39.17), a Jmstar Aquyla 125 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Jmstar, who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.56‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
