On Friday, 26 September 2014, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Čiudiškiai–Giniūnai regional road (kilometre 2.30), a Volkswagen Golf rolled over. Four people were injured — the 17-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 38-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 30-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 11-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
