On Friday, 3 October 2014, in the evening at 19:12, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 21.07), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Kawasaki ZZ-R 600 and a Kawasaki ZX 1000. One person was injured — the 35-year-old driver of the Kawasaki ZX 1000 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Kawasaki ZZ-R 600 (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
