On Saturday, 4 October 2014, at night at 2:25, in Kaunas, on T. Masiulio street near No. 21A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 523 and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
