On Sunday, 5 October 2014, in the afternoon at 14:15, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 38), a collision occurred. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Schmitz (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
