On Wednesday, 8 October 2014, in the evening at 17:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 8), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Setra S 215 UL and an Audi 100 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Setra (31 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
