On Monday, 20 October 2014, in the evening at 18:28, in Šakių district municipality, Slavikų village, on the Miknaičiai–Slavikai–Kiduliai regional road (kilometre 24.90), a Toyota Corolla Verso registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Toyota (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
