On Wednesday, 22 October 2014, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Saugų village, on Mažosios Lietuvos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda Accord and a Ford Escort. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Honda (1 year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
