On Sunday, 26 October 2014, at night at 3:15, in Tauragės district municipality, on T. Ivanausko street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a motorcycle and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of a motorcycle, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to obey traffic-control signals and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.24‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
