On Friday, 7 November 2014, at night at 0:39, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 62.60), a Scania R 114 L ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Scania (37 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.14‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
