On Thursday, 4 December 2014, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Šiaulių city municipality, on the Kuršėnai–Smilgiai–Aukštelkė regional road (kilometre 6.30), an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi (a citizen of Latvia) (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
