On Thursday, 4 December 2014, in the evening at around 18:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 61.25), at a yard or parking-lot exit, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Punto and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Fiat (13 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
