On Saturday, 6 December 2014, in the morning at 7:34, in Kėdainių district municipality, Akademijos town, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 46.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN 19.414 and a Volvo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the MAN (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.84‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
