On Wednesday, 31 December 2014, in the morning at 6:30, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 44.50), a Volvo FH12 registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Belarus) (16 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, there was a blizzard, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was icy.
