On Thursday, 1 January 2015, in the morning at 5:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta national road (kilometre 9), a BMW 528i rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 30-year-old passenger of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. The 28-year-old driver of the BMW was drunk (2.25‰) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
