On Sunday, 4 January 2015, in the afternoon at 14:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 128), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 730 and a Skoda Yeti. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the BMW (a citizen of Estonia) (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was a blizzard, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
